The Oxford Pregnancy Center opened its doors in August of 1985 and was introduced to the community by an Outreach to local churches. Hubert May, the retired pastor of Holy Cross Lutheran Church (1961 to 1986), responded by serving on the Board of Trustees and volunteering is a spiritual advisor for staff, volunteers and clients.

 An avid golfer and starter at Oxford Hills in his retirement, he proposed a golf outing to raise funds for the Center.  He organized and coordinated the first successful event at Oxford Hills in June of 1990. After an evening of golf, he died unexpectedly on May 22nd 1991. In honor of his dedication and commitment to the ministry of the Oxford Pregnancy Center, the annual event was renamed the Hubert May Memorial  Golf Outing. The event continues his purpose of bringing family and friends together to help save babies, born and unborn and provide support for moms and dads facing an unplanned pregnancy​

​​Are you a golfer? If so, you won’t want to miss our 35th Annual Hubert May Golf Outing!  It’s July 19th at Boulder Pointe Golf Club in Oxford. Registration is at 7:30 with a shotgun start at 8:30. Not a golfer? No worries! We have enough fun planned to make the day enjoyable for everyone! We will have a Continental Breakfast to start the day and the air canon will be back.
