opened its doors in 1985 to serve women facing
unplanned pregnancies in the North Oakland County area. 
We are a non-profit referral and educational organization.
We are supported by financial donations made by our
 generous community members and fundraising events.

Guidance

Compassion is why we are here. No woman should have to face an unplanned pregnancy alone. We are here for you. No judgement, no opinions, just honest answers and accurate information. All of our services are free and confidential. Our trained team can help walk you through the steps of healthy decision making, provide information about mentor programs, health insurance through the state of Michigan, and much more. No judgment, just honest answers and a listening ear. All of your personal information is held in strict confidentiality.

Free Pregnancy Testing

We offer a medical grade urine pregnancy test that measures at approximately 20 units of HCG hormone. Your test may be self-administered with instruction or may be administered by our trained staff. With a positive pregnancy test, we can give you a Verification of Pregnancy letter that will help you to obtain health insurance through the State of Michigan. After confirming your pregnancy, we are able to offer you an appointment for a free ultrasound.

Free Ultrasounds

By using a state-of-the-art ultrasound, our medical director
is able to provide a report which will:
​• Verify intrauterine pregnancy
• Rule out ectopic pregnancy
• Determine fetal heart beat
• Estimate fetal age

Most clients are with us for 60-90 minutes for an options discussion and ultrasound.
You will have a chance to view the ultrasound image.
Pictures may be provided  if you so choose.

Classes and Mentoring

Our trained mentors  are here to provide expectant mothers with emotional support, prenatal and parenting education as well as material aid for both mom and baby. If clients choose to be mentored, a mentor is assigned and meetings will take place one to two times a month up to the age of two for your child.

We Offer Services For Men Too

Our services are not just for women. We care about men too. Our advocates are trained to help fathers understand their role in the pregnancy.. We are also able to offer them support and care during and after the decision-making process.

Birth Control
The Oxford Pregnancy Center does not distribute any form of contraception. We do, however, have education material available.
​This conversation is best discussed with your health care provider.

​Plan B & Ella
Emergency contraception is not available at the Oxford Pregnancy Center. The FDA suggests that all women obtain a pregnancy test prior to taking Plan B or Ella. We can provide this test for you along with information about how emergency contraception works.

Sexually Transmitted Infections 
The Oxford Pregnancy Center is a limited medical facility and does not do testing for STIs. We are able to educate you on symptoms and how to protect yourself from contracting an STI.
​You may obtain free, confidential STI testing and treatment at Crossroads Care Center.
